4th of July Festivities . . .

We started our 4th of July festivities off the night before at South Riding with a beautiful firework display. The fireworks started at 9:45 so we had to keep the little guy up but dressed him in his pajamas and went to enjoy the festivities. Elijah LOVED the fireworks and sat quietly in AWE with each firework display!

Then on 4th of July we had a good old fashion cookout with all the trimmings with Elijah's Aunt Mary and his cousins Malik and Mikaylah. Mary also brought over her friend Juanita and her two children. We had a great day!

Children always makes things sweeter! We had a fun day indeed!

Mikaylah and Malik . . . Oh how they have grown up! Malik is an aspiring athlete and Mikaylah a cheerleader! She even delighted us with a few cheers before dinner. Malik was busy assisting Uncle John with grilling.

Elijah waving his flag!

Raising his flag up up in the air!! The end to a great 4th of July!

Our Elijah . . .

The other day while I was cleaning up this really caught my eye John's and Elijah's shoes in the foyer. Elijah sure does have some big shoes to fill in becoming the son, friend, husband, and father John is.

Daddy loving up our favorite little boy!

Elijah showing off his pipes (his muscles) Daddy loves Elijah in the outfit:-)

Elijah loves running from his bedroom to ours. He is so darn silly always laughing, clapping his hands, blowing kisses, smiling, chasing the cats, and running up to us to get a hug. From walking to running . . . Elijah is on the Move!

Elijah decided to take a break to play with one of his toys.

Elijah riding on his pony with a little help from his favorite friend Poo and of course a gentle push from Mommy!

Aunt Annette showing Elijah how to work her blackberry. Elijah loves talking on the phone and gets excited when it rings. We let him talk on the phone and he will chatter a bit and then takes off to play!
