Elijah at Six Months

Written November 19, 2005

On November 18, 2005 was Elijah's 6 Month Drs. appointment. He is a growing little boy indeed!

He weighs 16 Pounds (He gained 2 pounds since his 4 Month appt.)
Height: 28.5 (He sprouted up half an inch from his 4 Month appt.)
Head: 17 (Up 1 inch since his 4 Month appt.)

Right around the time Elijah turned 5 months he began to show signs of wanting to crawl. For the past couple of weeks he has been crawling backwards sometimes forward with alot of tumbles. Well he has now mastered crawling. He is constantly on the move! Our cats are upset to see his progression to say the least considering they are being tortured by his loving grabs of their fur:-) Mookie is much more tolerable of Elijah. Dusty is otherwise disturbed that Elijah is now very much so mobile. On a day like today you could find Dusty basking in the sun but he is instead tucked under our sofa watching Elijah intently. Yesterday Dusty's tail was hanging from under the sofa . . . you guessed it . . . I heard hissing and squeals of laughter from Elijah. Lets just say Eli doesn't understand hissing yet . . . for the moment he thinks it's quite funny. Thank God the cats are declawed.

Eli loves to talk (wonder where he gets that from:-) and can be found in the mornings chatting away letting us know he is awake for the day. He is teething and we expect some sparkly teeth perhaps by Christmas. We just started feeding him solids and began with oatmeal. The first day we gave him oatmeal was hysterical the serious look he gave us was priceless! He now loves to eat oatmeal. Elijah also loves sitting in his high chair. We recently put it together and last night he actually went to sleep in it - of course I took a picture:-)

Skyline Drive

We took Elijah on our annual drive to my neck of the woods:-) The view was so breathtaking we couldn't even convince Eli to look at the camera!

What an AWESOME DAY!

Look at the beautifual foliage behind us. John and I loving up our precious baby boy!
